Stok Metrics respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website, create an account, upload data, use our application, start a trial, subscribe to a plan, contact us, or otherwise interact with Stok Metrics.

By using Stok Metrics, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

Stok Metrics is an inventory forecasting and reorder-planning tool for ecommerce sellers, marketplace sellers, and small multichannel merchants.

Our Service helps users upload sales, inventory, product, and supplier data; review forecasts; evaluate reorder suggestions; adjust order quantities; generate purchase order drafts; and track confirmed incoming stock.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Service, and limited information collected automatically.

Account Information

When you create an account or start a trial, we may collect:

  • name;
  • business name;
  • email address;
  • password or authentication information;
  • billing status;
  • subscription plan;
  • support communications.

Business and Inventory Data

When you use Stok Metrics, you may upload or enter business data such as:

  • sales order data;
  • inventory quantities;
  • product names, SKUs, categories, and brands;
  • supplier names and supplier rules;
  • lead times, costs, MOQs, pack sizes, and payment terms;
  • purchase-planning information;
  • PO draft information;
  • incoming-order information;
  • notes or settings you enter into the Service.

Depending on the files you upload, your CSV data may also include customer order details, shipping information, marketplace order IDs, or other information exported from ecommerce platforms.

You are responsible for reviewing your CSV files and making sure you have the right to upload and process the data you provide.

Payment Information

Payments may be processed by a third-party payment processor, such as Paddle.

We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. Payment processors may collect payment card information, billing address, transaction details, and related information needed to process payments and manage subscriptions.

Website and Usage Information

When you visit our website or use the application, we may collect:

  • browser type;
  • device type;
  • IP address;
  • pages viewed;
  • referring pages;
  • approximate location based on IP address;
  • login activity;
  • feature usage;
  • import activity;
  • error logs;
  • performance data;
  • security logs.

Chat Messages and Support Requests

When you use the website chat assistant or ask us to follow up, we may collect the questions and messages you submit, the assistant's responses, your name, email address, optional company or store name, the page you contacted us from, and limited technical information used to prevent abuse.

Please do not submit passwords, payment card information, sensitive personal information, or confidential business data through the website chat.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, pixels, analytics tools, or similar technologies to:

  • answer website chat questions and respond to support requests;
  • process subscriptions and payments;
  • send account, billing, security, and service-related messages;
  • improve product performance and usability;
  • detect errors, fraud, abuse, or security risks;
  • develop new features;
  • comply with legal obligations.

4. Forecasting and Uploaded Data

Stok Metrics processes your uploaded data to generate forecasts, reorder suggestions, priority indicators, PO drafts, incoming-stock views, and related planning outputs.

We do not use your uploaded business data to make purchasing decisions for you. You remain responsible for reviewing all recommendations and making final inventory, supplier, purchasing, and business decisions.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to improve the Service, develop features, understand usage patterns, or create general business insights. Aggregated or de-identified information is not intended to identify you or your business.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your uploaded business data.

We may share information only as described below.

Service Providers

We may share information with trusted vendors who help us operate the Service, such as:

  • cloud hosting providers;
  • database and infrastructure providers;
  • payment processors;
  • analytics providers;
  • email delivery providers;
  • artificial intelligence service providers;
  • customer support tools;
  • error monitoring and security tools.

These providers may access information only as needed to perform services for us.

Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:

6. Third-Party Platforms

Stok Metrics may work with data exported from third-party ecommerce platforms, marketplaces, payment systems, shipping systems, or inventory tools.

Those third-party platforms are not controlled by Stok Metrics. Their privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

You are responsible for complying with the terms and privacy requirements of any third-party platform from which you export data.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and support legitimate business purposes.

You may request deletion of your account or certain data by contacting us at support@stokmetrics.com.

We may retain limited information after deletion if necessary for legal, security, backup, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or legitimate business purposes.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for limiting access to your account.

9. Your Choices

You may have the ability to:

  • access and update account information;
  • download or export certain data;
  • delete uploaded files or records where the Service allows;
  • cancel your subscription;
  • request deletion of your account;
  • unsubscribe from non-essential marketing emails.

You may not opt out of important service, billing, security, or account-related communications.

We may send you emails related to your account, trial, subscription, billing, security, product updates, support requests, and important changes to the Service.

We may also send marketing emails. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us.

11. Analytics and Advertising

We may use analytics tools to understand how visitors and users interact with our website and application.

We may also use advertising or marketing tools to measure campaigns and improve website performance.

If we use third-party analytics or advertising cookies, those tools may collect information such as device identifiers, browser information, IP address, pages visited, and interactions with our website.

12. Artificial Intelligence and Automation

Stok Metrics may use automated calculations, forecasting methods, machine-learning models, or AI-assisted features to help generate forecasts, reorder suggestions, explanations, classifications, or planning outputs.

The website chat assistant may send your question and a limited portion of the recent chat to an artificial intelligence service provider so it can answer from the approved Stok Metrics knowledge supplied with the request. Common questions may be answered directly without an external AI request.

If you request human follow-up, your contact details, question, and recent chat transcript may be emailed to the Stok Metrics support team.

These outputs are estimates and may be incorrect, incomplete, or based on inaccurate source data.

You are responsible for reviewing all outputs before making purchasing, supplier, inventory, or business decisions.

We do not use your uploaded business data to train public AI models unless we clearly disclose that practice and obtain any consent required by law.

13. Children's Privacy

Stok Metrics is intended for business users and is not directed to children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us at support@stokmetrics.com, and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

14. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under California privacy laws, depending on how the law applies to Stok Metrics.

These rights may include the right to:

  • know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, sell, or share;
  • access personal information;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • request deletion of personal information;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information;
  • limit the use of sensitive personal information where applicable;

Stok Metrics does not sell uploaded business data.

15. Texas and Other State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and how applicable law applies to Stok Metrics, you may have rights to:

  • confirm whether we process your personal data;

  • delete personal data;
  • obtain a copy of personal data;
  • opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale of personal data, or profiling;
  • appeal a denied privacy request.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. If your request is denied, you may have the right to appeal by contacting us again and stating that you are appealing the decision.

16. International Users

Stok Metrics is operated from United States of America.

If you access the Service from outside USA, your information may be processed and stored in USA or other countries where our service providers operate.

By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to locations where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

17. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common industry standard for responding to these signals.

Unless required by law, Stok Metrics does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If we make material changes, we will provide notice by posting the updated policy, changing the effective date, sending an email, displaying an in-app notice, or using another reasonable method.

Your continued use of the Service after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated policy.
