Depending on the files you upload, your CSV data may incidentally include customer order details, shipping information, marketplace order IDs, or other information exported from ecommerce platforms.
Stok Metrics is not designed to require customer names, customer email addresses, customer phone numbers, shipping or billing addresses, payment card information, bank account information, government identification numbers, health information, children's data, biometric data, or other sensitive personal information. You should not upload those fields unless Stok Metrics expressly agrees in writing.
For uploaded business data that you provide through the Service, Stok Metrics generally acts as a service provider or data processor on behalf of your business.
For account registration, billing, support, website metrics, security logs, chat submissions, and marketing information, Stok Metrics acts as an independent business or data controller.
You are solely responsible for reviewing your CSV files and ensuring you have the right to upload and process the data you provide.
Payment Information
Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, such as Stripe, Paddle, or another payment provider.
We do not store full credit card numbers or raw CVV codes on our servers.
Payment processors collect payment card information, billing address, transaction details, and related information needed to process payments and manage subscriptions.
Website and Usage Information
When you visit our website or use the application, we may collect:

4. Forecasting and Data Rights
Stok Metrics processes your uploaded data to generate forecasts, reorder suggestions, priority indicators, PO drafts, incoming-stock views, and related planning outputs.
We do not use your uploaded business data to make purchasing decisions for you. Final purchasing, supplier, pricing, inventory, and business decisions rest solely with you.
Aggregated and Anonymized Data
We may use aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information to operate the Service, improve forecasting quality and models, test product performance, detect marketplace trends, develop features, and create non-identifying industry benchmarks.
This information will not identify you, your business, your workspace, your customers, or any individual.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent, or lease your uploaded business data or account contact details.
We share information only with trusted third parties in the following limited scenarios.
Service Providers
We may share information with trusted infrastructure and service vendors who help us operate the Service, including:

Stok Metrics processes historical data exported from third-party ecommerce platforms, marketplaces, payment systems, shipping tools, or other software systems.
Those third-party platforms are not controlled by Stok Metrics.
Their privacy practices are governed entirely by their own respective privacy policies and terms.
You are responsible for complying with their data export frameworks, terms, privacy requirements, and applicable rules.
7. Data Retention and Deletion Schedule
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and support legitimate business purposes.
Cancellation of your subscription stops future billing. Account deletion and data deletion may be handled through your account settings where available or by contacting support@stokmetrics.com.
When a user requests account deletion or cancels their subscription, Stok Metrics will permanently delete or anonymize account registration details and uploaded CSV history from active production systems within thirty (30) days of the cancellation, account closure, or formal deletion request, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted for the limited reasons described below.
We may retain limited data, account logs, transaction records, legal acceptance records, security logs, billing records, tax records, accounting records, deletion request records, fraud-prevention records, or regulatory records after deletion if necessary for legal, backup, security, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or regulatory purposes.
Data stored in encrypted backup archives may persist temporarily until those backups are naturally overwritten according to our system lifecycle. If a backup is restored for security, continuity, or legal reasons, we will take reasonable steps to re-apply approved deletion requests where applicable.
Aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information may be retained without a fixed time limit when it no longer identifies a person, business account, workspace, customer, or individual.
8. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect account information, uploaded business data, logs, and related information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no internet transmission, software system, or cloud storage system is 100% secure.
We cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for limiting access to your account.
You should notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
9. Your Choices and Controls
You have control over certain data associated with your account.
Through your account dashboard where available, or by emailing support@stokmetrics.com, you may:

- Delete uploaded files or individual data records where the software dashboard allows.

12. Artificial Intelligence and Automation
Stok Metrics uses automated calculations, forecasting methods, and machine-learning models to help generate insights, classifications, forecasts, reorder suggestions, explanations, and inventory layouts.
Our website chat assistant may send your question and a limited portion of the recent chat to an external artificial intelligence service provider so it can answer from the approved Stok Metrics knowledge base.
We do not intentionally send full uploaded CSV files to the website chat assistant.
Where we use external AI service providers, we configure and contract with them, where available, to restrict the use of your inputs and uploaded business data for training public or foundational models.
All automated outputs are estimates and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or based on inaccurate source data.
You remain responsible for auditing calculations, forecasts, reorder suggestions, explanations, and other outputs before making purchasing, supplier, pricing, inventory, or business decisions.
13. Children's Privacy
Stok Metrics is a business-to-business application intended for business users and is not directed to children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

14. California Privacy Rights

There is currently no common industry standard for responding to these signals.
